Our annual club cook out was once again held at Roy and Phyllis' house this year. This was quite a bit different from last year. For the last week end of the summer most people had coats and jackets with hoods and they were wearing them.
It was very cold with a sea breeze off the ocean that just wouldn't quit. The sun tried to make an appearance, but never could make it. Just five miles up the road off the cape the sun was shining brightly and the wind had quit. It's just typical New England weather. Nice here, not so much there.
It was your traditional cook out/pot luck supper where everyone brought something for everyone else to enjoy. Members brought Salads, Devil Eggs and Pastries of all kinds. There was quite a nice variety of deserts brought by many of the members and we thank them all for contributing.
The Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, Potato Chips, Corn on the Cob, Watermelon and Soft Drinks were paid for by the club.
Here they are, photos of everyone huddling to keep warm and having a good time at the club cook out. Click on any photo to see an enlargment. Once the photo has enlarged you can close it by clicking the 'X' in the upper right corner of the photo. |
