History of Our Club

Founded in 1989 by John Podrecca and Roy Gouge, the Gateway Treasure Hunting Club makes its home in Wareham, Massachusetts. Wareham is an ideal location for the club as it is The Entrance to Cape Cod and near numerous beautiful beaches on the Cape as well as many historical places of interest, giving our members plenty of choices for their hunting endeavors.

Monthly meetings are held the fourth Wednesday of every month. The exception being the months of June, July and August. Meetings for those months are held at a different beach each month so we can get together to detect and see what we can find as a group. Along with "The find of the month contest" we discuss club business and make plans for our annual treasure hunt which is generally held in May of each year.
